Simply turn up at one of out beginners sessions at either venue, wearing comfortable sports clothing and bring a drink.


  • Take part in the warm-up: Just some simple exercise and stretching to prepare.

  • Main session: Depending upon class size we may all train together or split into smaller groups based on grade / age etc.

  • Session end: The sessions ends with a group line up, any important announcements are made and a student of the week is sometimes nominated.


The goal is to give you a clear picture of what joining the class regularly would be like. You’ll see how the instructor supports learners and how the class flows.

What Happens After Your Free Class?


After your free class, you have options:


  • If it's not for you, no problem we hope that you enjoyed your session and learnt a little about Wado Kai Karate

  • If you enjoyed it and want to continue then simply turn up the following week, pay £5 and continue your karate journey. After 4 weeks of training it is a requirement that you purchase a NAKMAS licence that provides insurance cover, this is currently only £25 a year and includes your grading record book .

  • Take time to decide without pressure.

  • Ask the instructor / other students for recommendations or next steps.
