Gradings - at a glance
The requirements for each grading change between belts, the table below shows the number of grading workshops, sparring sessions and the minimum 'training' time for each belt (if required).
Remember - In order to grade the student must have the following:

An up to date licence - check the expiry date in the back of your book and speak to your instructor if it needs renewing.

The correct number of grading workshops; these take place on the first Friday of each month and attendance must be recorded in your book.

The correct number of sparring sessions; these take place most Sundays and attendance must be recorded in your book.

The 'minimum' time between gradings must have elapsed, training time between belts increases as you progress through the belts.

12th Kyu - White + Red

11th Kyu - White + Yellow

10th Kyu - Red + White

9th Kyu - Red

8th Kyu - Yellow

7th Kyu - Orange

6th Kyu - Green

5th Kyu - Blue

4th Kyu - Purple

3rd Kyu - Brown

2nd Kyu - Brown + White

1st Kyu - Brown + Black

1st Dan - Black

2nd Dan - Black
