Your next grading will be here sooner than you think, are you ready ?

Check the steps below to make sure that you are 'Grading Ready'

Is your licence up to date ?

Students can only grade if they hold a valid licence at the time of the grading. Check your licence now and speak to an instructor if your licence will need renewing before the grading.

Have you attended enough grading workshops and sparring sessions ?

Each belt has different requirements regarding the number of grading workshops and sparring sessions. Check here for a summary of the requirements. These numbers are the minimum for the grading, students who attend more than the minimum are usually better prepared when it's grading time.

It is important to have an instructor sign your licence book at each session

Some belts also have a minimum amount of time between gradings

Do you feel ready ?

Life can get busy and it's sometimes easy to miss a session or two but it's important to maintain regular training. Each grade introduces new techniques, blocks, katas etc which take time to practice and feel comfortable with, consistent training is the only way to ensure that you are 'Grading Ready'
